... and this is why you should NEVER watch Precure in a Zelda-phase!

This happened, when I remembered my old obsession with the first season of this series ans startes watching YT Videos of it again. @.@

For those who don't know what Precure, or, to be exactly "Pretty Cure" is... well:

It started out as an outstanding magical-girl anime about the importance to trust each other and about how closely a bond between two people can develope even in an unlikely friendship.

Now, however, it has deevolved into basically Power Rangers in dresses.
... oh wait, that title already goes to Sailor Moon, my bad. XD

It's still a very cute series and definantly worth watching, even if it's not as deep anymore as it used to be. Actually, the seperate series of the Precure franchise are connected by little more than the style of the costumes (and even that rule has recently been tresspassed) So you can say that "Futari wa Pretty Cure" is a deep magical series, while "Yes Pretty Cure 5" and "Fresh Pretty Cure" are merely... cute magical girl series. So yeah...

Ah back to the pic.
So, I watched the second "Yes Pretty Cure 5" opening ( [link] ) and, as much as I despise the endless, power-rangers-style chanting of "Precure, Go, Precure!!" (Which was even present in the first series), I have to admit that the chorus of the song was quite cool.

And then, I had the sudden urge to draw this.

In case you couldn't tell:Those are Medli, Aryll, Zelda, Saria and Midna.
In Precure Outfits.
God help.

I once again realized, how much a suck at spontanous coloring:
Zelda's dress was supposed to be pink. Due to numerous errors (involving me watching Tsubasa Chronicle, instead of watching what I'm doing), it got purple instead.
Medli's dress is a pain in the eyes.
Midna looks weird, due t her limited colours.
Aryll look's like Bubbles of the Powerpuff Girls
And the scanner ate Saria's colors (AGAIN!)

I even got pretty cure style names and "tranformation speeches" for each of them.
Yeah, I sunk that deep.


Medli: "The cheerful song of a bird fills people's hearts with happiness. Cure Melody!"

Aril: "The shout of seagull carries a heart's wish to travel the world. Cure Beach!"

Zelda: "The golden light of hope breaks through the clouds of despair. Cure Wisdom!"

Saria: "The tender leaves of the trees' carry the secrets of life itself. Cure Forest!"

Midna: "The morning's first light burns red like a strong heart's flame of passion! Cure Twilight!"

"Bla Bla Bla way to long speech bla bla Pretty Cure!!" *sparkle*


Now, feel free to laugh at the Magical Girl nerd I am. -.-

Oh, I forgot to mention one of the main reasons why I came to love the first PreCure Series so much. It was one of the last Anime to have their opening theme dubbed decently in german:
